Duties & Responsibilities:
As the new Chief Executive Officer, you will leverage the brand of Vineland as a recognized leader in horticulture, agriculture, and food-related innovation, enhancing and developing new and existing partnerships. With a compelling vision and passionate commitment to turn innovation into practical, cost-effective solutions to real world problems, you will work with the Board to shape and advance the strategy. You will draw on the expertise of a team of operations and research directors to assess needs and identify priorities; serving as a strong advocate and ambassador for the Vineland research and innovation platform.
As Vineland’s CEO, you should have experience supporting innovation and achieving impact through public and private sector partnerships. Your credentials include senior leadership experience in agriculture, food and/or commercialization and development. With excellent political acuity and interpersonal skills, you have a large network of relationships to leverage and build new partnerships, diversify funding sources, create commercialization/revenue sources and structures and expand Vineland’s capabilities across a number of industry clusters, primarily in the horticulture and agriculture sectors. An in-depth appreciation of governance will ensure a trusting and meaningful relationship with the Board of Directors. Vineland’s research facilities are situated on more than 200 acres in the Niagara Peninsula.
