Vineland Research and Innovation Centre is proud to be recognized by the Government of Ontario as the winner in the Research and Innovation category at the 2025 Excellence in Agriculture Awards, presented by Minister Trevor Jones.

Vineland President and CEO Ian Potter and Vice President, Research and Development Darby McGrath accepted the award on behalf of the organization and its dedicated team.
The Excellence in Agriculture Awards celebrate innovation, leadership, and collaboration across Ontario’s agrifood sector, recognizing those who drive economic growth, enhance sustainability, and strengthen communities across the province.
“This award reflects the commitment and creativity of our entire team,” said Potter. “It’s an honour to be recognized among such remarkable innovators who are helping to advance Ontario agriculture sector through research and innovation.” Vineland extends heartfelt congratulations to all award winners and honourable mentions whose work continues to advance Ontario’s agrifood industry under the Grow Ontario and Protect Ontario strategies.
