Analyst, Sustainability Assessment

Vineland Research and Innovation Centre (Vineland) is recruiting for an Analyst, Sustainability Assessment to join our amazing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Consumer, Sensory & Market Insights (CSMI), the Analyst, Sustainability Assessment will support data collection, analysis and creation of environmental impact assessments related to greenhouse gas emissions, environmental baseline studies, life-cycle analysis and environmental cost-benefit analysis.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support project development, data collection, analysis and creation of environmental impact assessments related to greenhouse gas emissions, environmental impact baseline studies, life-cycle analysis and environmental cost-benefit analysis for internal and external projects
  • Compile relevant data from primary and secondary sources
  • Complete statistical analysis, interpretation and report writing of environmental impact assessments
  • Interpret results with regard to their business sustainability relevance and devise actions, present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support corporate accounting and reporting of ESG quantitative metrics

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc with two to three years of relevant experience in environmental sustainability, agriculture or related field
  • Experience with data collection, statistical analysis and report writing

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Research and technical skills – demonstrated experience of working in one or more of the following areas:
    • Greenhouse gas estimation projects and carbon footprint reduction techniques/methods/tools
    • Environmental baseline studies and developing KPIs related to environmental impact assessments
    • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies
    • Environmental cost-benefit analysis (CBA)
