Climate change is reshaping Ontario’s forests — shifting species ranges and altering ecosystems that have evolved over thousands of years. Together with the Bruce Trail Conservancy, Vineland is working to project future climate conditions and anticipate how canopy tree species may respond across protected lands.

At Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, innovation is driven by people like Dan Bath. Through his dedication to bringing biology and technology together, Dan works to better understand, and improve, the systems that sustain our food production and natural environments.

Each February, Ontario’s horticulture sector comes together in Niagara Falls for the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention (OFVC) — a key opportunity for growers, researchers, and industry partners to connect, learn, and prepare for the season ahead. This year’s event delivered two days of practical insights, engaging conversations, and strong participation across the sector.
